Acoustic and Electric Guitars

Playing with The Girls is such a wonderful
experience. The thing I like the most is the level of positive energy,
which the band exudes. We have been told several times that when we are
playing the folks listening are ‘happy’ – what an awesome and most
wonderful comment – what better goal and accomplishment then to play music
and have folks enjoy the atmosphere and ambience that is created.

I am so lucky to be playing with such high
caliber musicians – yet everyone of them are nice people – no overbearing
egos or ‘rock stars’ here – just real people wanting to have a good time
and create sweet sounding music. We are blessed to have the three so very
talented girls singing with us, and at the same time, they are so
fortunate as well to have ‘older’ experienced musicians working to create
a bed of music for their vocal abilities to be highlighted. The band has
in excess of 200 collective years of experience. We try very hard to play
as little as possible – only what is necessary – the girls and their
vocals are what we want to focus on – our thought being that if we create
‘holes’ and only play when needed, when we do play it will be ‘special’
and complimentary to the overall sound. We are trying to create a
rhythmical yet delicate sound, for the vocal abilities of The Girls to lie
      within.

We are not a ‘typical’ bar band in anyway –
we play at softer volumes – focus the show on the three girls – we only
play 1 – 2 hour concerts – and usually perform earlier in the evening. We
want to help in what ever way we can to push the girls to discover their
talents – so far they are amazing each of us.

My influences and likes include so many
different bands and styles - The Beatles, Yes, Frank Zappa, Elvis
Costello, Bob Seger, Jethro Tull, ELP, Genesis – The artist I initially
started playing and singing to and with was Cat Stevens – I still perform
some of that stuff for fun – I also always liked many of the popular
female vocalists – Pat Benetar, Heart, Cher, Karen Carpenter, Linda
      Ronstadt.

I've played with several bands - mostly as
a singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist – I also enjoy working with
several other bands – I’ve always been involved with music and production
at some level, be it playing and singing, or helping with logistics or
promotion. Music brings to me an entire different level of intensity and
goodness –  I am certainly interested in seeing where all of this goes -
