Alessandra Rich Plaid Pleated Midi Dress

During the pandemic Kate was able to keep up with some of her chairities with virtual visits, but with something like the Bictoria and Albert Museum, which was closed, that wasn't an option. As its Patron she reportedly had wanted to make a visit several times but because of the coronavirus situation the museum didn't reopen until May of 2021. To mark the reopening and tour new exhibits she chose this Alessandra Rich plaid maxi dress, very similar in style to another pleated midi Rich dress Kate had worn a few years earlier. The plaid dress was from Rich's spring/summer 2020 collection, in silk crepe de chine, and retailed for about $2,000.

This recreation for the Franklin Mint vinyl Kate Middleton doll is in a plaid homespn cotton plaid, chosen primarily for its proximity to the original plaid. It features the drop waist and pleated midi skirt of the original. Tiny black buttons on the ftont cover snap closures. The sleeves cuffs also fasten with snaps. The bodice is lined in blush to prevent staining, the pleated skirt is unlined. Included black pleather clutch purse. Shoes are the black ones from the Franklin Mint kate Middleton Engagement doll.
