'Prince of Wales' Check Suit

fits Franklin Mint Diana Portrait Doll

Diana bought this suit early in 1997, from John Galliano's first full collection for the house of Dior. It was, fittingly, in a fabric called a Prince of Wales check. It came with three pieces, the jacket, a skirt, and trousers, and Diana was seen wearing it both ways.

This recreation consists of three pieces (jacket, skirt, and trousers) in a similar wool check. The jacket features fringe trim on the lapels and collar, flared cuffs, faux pockets, nickel plated stud 'buttons' that hide a snap closure, and is fully lined. The skirt is also fully lined, fastens with snaps, and has hangar loops. The trousers have a small pleat front and are unlined.

Thanks for looking!
