Plum Tunic Dress

Unlike Diana, who wore maternity clothes almost as soon as she learned she was pregnant, Kate seems to prefer staying in regularly sized and styled outfits as long as possible. One such dress is this plum tunic from the British luxury label Goat, which was in fact featured in a Sunday Times article in August about dressing for work.

After a bout of morning sickness with her third pregnancy in 2017, Kate began a round of engagements. In November she attended a teacher's forum on children's mental health at Place2Be, one of her charities. She chose this easy fitting plum wool tunic dress, called 'Eloise', which the label offers in many colors and even in an evening version in black velvet.

This recreation for the Franklin Mint vinyl Kate Middleton doll is in plum cotton knit, and features the high neckline, 3/4 length sleeves, and silver tone big buttons of the original. The body of the dress is lined, but the sleeves are not, but they are interfaced with white to prevent staining. It fastens in the back with snaps. Includes the poppy 'pin' and black clutch bag. I made the hose and they can be included, but are also available from Dollsecrets. Shown with the black shoes from the Franklin Mint Kate Middleton Engagement doll.
