Olympic Park Visit Outfit

Ahead of the 2012 Summer Olympic games, Kate paid a surprise visit to Olympic Park that March to meet the British field hockey team, in her capacity as Ambassador for Team GB. She wore a generally patriotic outfit of orange skinny jeans, white T shirt, and navy Pucci jacket, accessorized by one of the offical Team GB scarves - specifically, the one supporting the British Paralympic team, as she was also Ambassador for the Paralympic team.

After speaking with the team, she lost the jacket and scarf and changed into a sweat top to play a bit with them. This was no problem for Kate, who not only played on her field hockey team at Marlborough School, but was also team captain.

She later wore the jacket and scarf in September, paired with a matching navy skirt (or possibly a dress), to present the Mens' Discus medals at the Paralympic games.(below)

The recreation for the Franklin Mint vinyl Kate Middleton doll consists of orange cotton stretch skinny jeans, white T shirt, and navy linen jacket. The jeans are unlined (I don't think they will stain, but you may wish to use hose on the doll just in case) and feature top stitch details at the side seams and hem. The jacket is in navy linen, fully lined in white, and features gold tone 'brass' buttons on the front and also the cuffs. It does NOT close with snaps, so it hangs open, as Kate wore it. The white sleeveless T shirt is from Dollsecrets). The scarf is a gift from a friend, and the shoes are from the Franklin Mint Kate Middleton Engagement doll. The jacket can also be worn, as Kate did, with a matching navy skirt (right). The skirt is in the same fabric as the jacket, is also fully lined in white, has hangar loops, and closes with snaps.
