Catherine Walker Houndstooth Coat

During the Cambridge's visit to Scandinavia in late January 2018, Kate wore this coat on their second day in Sweden. It's a double breasted coat in an oversize houndstooth check, custom made for her by Catherine Walker's label. Although pregnant, Kate again opted for a non-maternity look, although the coat was roomy enough. Somewhat oddly, she chose burgundy for her accessories, shoes and a Chanel purse.

She wore the coat again in February 2023 where, as patron of the Rugby Football Union, she attended their rugby match with the Welso team - whose patron happened to be her husband, William! To quash potential rumors about another pregnancy, Kensington Palace Tweeted specifically that the coat had been retailored.

Kate's patronage of Catherine Walker's company continues the royal connection, begun famously with Princess Diana, for whom Walker made over a thousand outfits over 16 years.
